I’d like to take a moment to mourn the loss of Steve Jobs, who passed away Wednesday evening. The immediate and overwhelming response to this news stands as testimony to the momentous impact Steve Jobs has had on so many people.
Steve has been heralded as a true visionary who worked to make technology accessible for the not-so-techy masses. But Steve was more than a creator of beautiful and revolutionary products. He also has inspired many to think creatively and break from the norm. Not just a great inventor, he was a great man.

When Steve Jobs stepped down from his position as the CEO for Apple in August, he wrote in his resignation letter:
"I believe Apple’s brightest and most innovative days are ahead of it. And I look forward to watching and contributing to its success in a new role. I have made some of the best friends of my life at Apple, and I thank you all for the many years of being able to work alongside you.”
Current Apple CEO Tim Cook released the following statement following news of Steve’s death:

Although I myself haven't been much of a Mac fan, I would never deny the tremendous influence Apple products have had on how technology is understood and experienced today. Steve Jobs was an inspiring man, and he will be missed by many.
